Frequently Asked Questions 

How to get Admissions in University PG Department/Affiliated College?

·          Gujarat University facilitates its students for admissions to courses on merit bases or conducting Entrance Tests during month of June. For admission to external courses, The advertisement will be given in the reputed news papers during August month.  Application form of external exams available from university website too.

·          For regular admissions to the courses in affiliated colleges/institutes candidates can search the appropriate college/institute and shall contact the particular college/institute directly.

·          A list of affiliated colleges/recognized institutes are given on university website.

How to get Migration Certificate?

·          Application form is available from Consumer Stores (Room No. 1) by paying cash Rs. 10/- and also available on university website.

·          The fees of Rs. 100/- (One Hundred only) for a student migrating from this University to another statutory University. After paying the fees at cash counter (Window No. 20), the form should be returned in Migration section (Room No. 19) with fee receipt.

·          The application for the Migration Certificate should be accompanied by the Original Transference Certificate from the Institution last attended and also the original mark-sheet or Passing Certificate (of the last examination) with a true copy of each duly certified by the Head of the Institution concerned.

·          In the case of External Students, they should supply the original Passing Certificate of mark-sheet and a copy of each duly certified by (1) Government Gazetted Officer, (2) A Principal of an affiliated College of this University, (3) A Member of the Senate (Court) of this University for the time being or (4) A Head Master of a full-fiedged High School within the State of Gujarat.

·          The application for the Migration Certificate will not be entertained if the documents are not supplied.

·          Migration Form will be Checked in 11-15 to 2-00.

·          The Migration Certificate will deliver on next day 5-00 p.m. from Migration Section (Room No. 14) (With Fee Receipt).

 

 

How to get Eligibility Certificate?

·          Application form is available from Consumer Stores (Room No. 1) by paying cash Rs. 10/- and also available on university website.

·          After paying the fees of Rs. 100/- at Cash Counter (Window No. 19), the form should be returned in Eligibility section (Room No. 14) with fee receipt.

·          Certificate (in original) to be attached together with a certified true copy of each certificate.

Without which the application form will not be accepted and/or attended. The original certificates will be returned after checking. ( Zerox copy must be certified. )

·          Migration Certificate :

      Certificate from the Registrar of the University or Public Body from which

the applicant has passed the Examination named above permitting him to prosecute his studies in the Gujarat University . (Original certificate will not be returned.)

·          Passing Certificate :

      Certificate, signed by the Registrar or the Secretary of the Public Body of the last Examination passed by the applicant in another University or Public Body, stating the examination and the subject in which the examination was passed. A certificate of marks obtained by the applicant at the examination will not be accepted in view of this.

·          Certificate of Marks :

      Certificate signed by the Registrar of the University or the secretary of the Public Body of the last examination passed by the applicant from another University or Public Body stating the subjectwise Marks and the result clearly in which the examination was passed.

·          Passing Certificate :

      From the Principal to obtain provisional Eligibility Certificate. A Provisional Eligibility Certificate to join a college will be issued only on production of documentary evidence of passing the examination issued either by the Head of Institution or the Registrar of the University, or the Secretary of Education Board. The statement of marks will be accepted for provisional certificate.

·          The candidate should obtain the final eligibility certificate before the end of the term by producing the required remaining Certificate from his/her previous University/Board, failing to which his/her admission etc. is liable to the cancelled. In case of not joining the college within one month from obtaining the Provisional Eligibility Certificate of this University, may please be informed accordingly in writing to the University office without fail.

·          Please enclose 10th & 12th and all Examination Graduate Zerox attested Copy of Mark-sheets with form.

·          For Provision Eligibility Certificate student should pay the fees on cash counter and returned the eligibility forms in the Eligibility Section (Room No. 19).

·          Eligibility form will be checked in 11-30 A.M. to 2-00 P.M.

·          The P.E.C. certificate will delivered on next day 5-00 P.M. from Eligibility Section (Room No. 14).

 

How to get Degree Certificate?         

·          Degrees are conferred in Convocation only.

·          Application form is available from Consumer Store (opp. School of Languages) by paying prescribed fees in cash.

·          After paying the prescribed fees at Cash Counter (Window No. 20), the form should be drop in drop box with fee receipt. A student can send demand draft in favour of “Registrar, Gujarat University ” of prescribed fees for the degree certificate.

·          Students will get the Degree Certificate in Absentia/Person, whatever mode he had selected in application form.  The date of Convocation will be declared and communicated by reputed newspaper during month of November for Annual Convocation and during month of March for Special Convocation.

·          A Legible attested ZEROX copy of the Mark-Sheet of the relevant Degree Examination must invariably be attached with the application form.

 

How to get Duplicate Mark-sheet?

·          Application form (Fee Receipt) is available from Cash Counter (Window No. 20) by paying cash Rs. 50/- per mark-sheet.

·          After paying the fees of Rs. 50/- at Cash Counter (Room No. 20), the form should be submitted to Room No. 42 with fee receipt.

·          Students will get the Duplicate Mark-sheet within one month from Examination Section (Room No. 42) in person.

How to get Duplicate Degree Certificate?

·          A student, who had already received degree certificate earlier, is only eligible for the duplicate degree certificate.

·          Application form is available from Examination (Room No. 42) at free of cost and also available on university website.

·          After paying the fees of Rs. 500/- at Cash Counter (Window No. 20), the form should be submitted to Examination Section (Room No. 42) with fee receipt. A student can send demand draft in favour of “Registrar, Gujarat University ” amounting Rs. 500/- for the degree certificate.

·          Students will get the Duplicate Degree Certificate within one month from Examination Section (Room No. 42) in person.

·          A Legible attested ZEROX copy of the Mark-sheet and degree certificate of the relevant Degree Examination must invariably be attached with the application form.

How to get Special Type (Provisinal Degree Certificate)of Certificate?

·          Students, who have applied for Degree Certificate/not applied for Degree Certificate, will be eligible for Special Type of Certificate.

·          Application form is available from Examination Section (Room No. 42) at free of cost and also available on university website.

·          After paying the fees of Rs. 200/- at Cash Counter (Window No. 20), the form should be submitted to Examination Section (Room No. 42) with fee receipt.

·          A Legible attested ZEROX copy of the Mark-Sheet of the relevant Degree Examination must invariably be attached with the application form.

·          Students will get the Provisional/Special Degree Certificate within fifteen days from Examination Section (Room No. 42) in person.

How to get Marksheet/Degree Certificate verified?

·          Institute who wish to verify any Marksheet/Degree certificate issued by Gujarat University , need to submit a copy of Degree certificate and relevant marksheets in the examination section (Room No. 42) of Gujarat University along with Fee receipt amounting Rs. 200/- per Degree certificate verification or Rs. 50 per Marksheet Verification.

·          Institute can send their application through post with demand draft of Rs. 200/- for Degree Verification or Rs. 50/- for Marksheet Verification in favour of “Registrar, Gujarat University ” or or by paying Rs. 200/- in cash at cash counter (Window No. 20) of Gujarat University

·          The University will send necessary response within one month from the receipt of the documents to the respective Institution/Agency directly by post in sealed cover.
